Dreaming about work is not cool. Especially when it’s an annoying situation:
It’s 15 minutes to close. And a family of three walk in the door. Everyone else is busy, so I have to deal with them. The lady (an established client, of course) says they don’t know if they should bring in their kitty. This client notoriously has no money, and waits too long to bring pets in, so when she does it’s a train wreck. I ask her what is going on. She says some stuff, and finishes with the cat hasn’t been eating. I ask how long. Two weeks. I ask if it’s eating at all. No. How long? 4 days. *ugh*. I tell her we need to see her cat right away, and she starts saying how the cat is fine, blah blah. So I’m explaining that cats NEED to eat or they can start having liver trouble. The gal is still arguing that the cat seems OK to her. I finally convince the owner to make an appointment, if she won’t take the cat to emergency.
The schedule is totally booked the next day (my day off) but knowing the cat must be seen, I’m pushing for first thing in the morning. And the gal, is saying all these plans she has and wants to schedule the appointment in 2 days. I’m having to insist the problem is life threatening and go through the spiel again. Finally, I ask if she has any friends that could bring the cat in first thing tomorrow morning. She lights up and decides to have a friend bring the kitty in.
During this whole back and forth, the guy she brought with her is grabbing things. He appears to be around 20, but I can tell he’s not quite right. Anyway, he’s reaching for the merch on the counter and putting them in his pockets. He also put three medications within reach in his pockets. He even grabbed the laptop I had in front of my when I averted my attention briefly. He had sticky fingers. So I had to keep my eye on him and all items within his reach the whole time I’m talking to his mother(?). It was exhausting. Toward the end, he left the room, and came back later saying he just had a seizure.
I make sure to collect a deposit and get a good phone number. Before the three left, I ask the guy to empty his pockets to ensure he didn’t snatch anything else. He had somehow taken my keys, and handed them back. They were all sweaty and icky. It is waaaaaaay past closing time by now. And I know everyone is going to be mad at me for scheduling a high-maintenance thing on an already busy day–when I don’t work. . .
Here’s what it’s supposed to mean:
To dream that someone is stealing something from you indicates that you are experiencing an identity crisis or are suffering from some sort of loss in your life. Alternatively, the dream means that someone has stolen your success or has taken credit for something you did. Perhaps you feel that you have been treated unfairly.
seizures = lack of control in your life
To dream that you lose your keys signify fears of losing control of yourself or losing your position or status in life. It may also indicate unexpected changes, frustrations, and unpleasant adventures. The dream could be analogous to lost or missed opportunities.
And I’m sure the work scenario is just the regular daily occurrences getting replayed in my brain.
